As President and CEO, Dr. Angelo Sinopoli leads CCI in the development and delivery of population health services that enable healthcare providers in the significant transformation of health service delivery, management and financing necessary to improve and maintain the health of communities. He guides CCI’s strategic direction and passionately drives the quality and value-driven transformations CCI supports across the networks and systems it serves.

As Vice President for CCI Labs, Rob Davis provides leadership for performing innovative investigations around care model design and the effectiveness of clinical initiatives supporting population healthcare. This includes management of grants from National Institute of Health, Health Resources & Services Administration, Centers for Disease Control/SC Department of Health & Environmental Control, and the American Medical Association. Davis supports the clinical research process through the analysis of data to identify opportunities for innovation, quality improvement and process change.

As Vice President Research for CCI Labs, Dr. Brent Egan is responsible for leading innovative investigation in regards to care model design and the effectiveness of clinical initiatives supporting population health. This includes cost and financials as well as quality, patient experience and outcomes. He has advisory involvement in CCI’s clinical guidelines process, providing research expertise and data-driven understanding.

Dr. Bill Gerard is Vice President for Midlands Operations and Chief Innovation Officer for the CCI. He also currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board for the Palmetto Health Quality Collaborative (PHQC). He is also the System Professional Director of Emergency Services at PH, Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at PH, and EMS Fellowship Program Director. For the last 5 years, he has been a member of the PH Board of Directors.

As Vice President for Care Transformation, Nancy Markle is responsible for the development and implementation of clinical processes including the common care model and associated evidence-based guidelines for use across the CINs/ACOs, healthcare systems and organizations that CCI serves. Markle leads the knowledge management strategies that drive clinical best practice identification and dissemination, clinical process improvement, innovative education and training programs, and change management techniques focusing on care coordination, practice transformation and population health.

VP, Innovation & Transformation
As Vice President for Innovation and Transformation, Blix Rice provides leadership for population health management strategies in the CCI to serve its customers. He collaborates with clients to identify, implement and evaluate innovative approaches to care delivery with a focus on helping organizations successfully execute for sustainable transformation. Rice also serves as a shared executive with AVIA, a strategic partner of CCI, where he works alongside their innovator network team for rapid cycle development and testing of new ideas.

VP, Public Payor Health Strategy
As Vice President and Senior Advisor for Public Payor Health Strategy for CCI, Valinda Rutledge provides leadership, expertise and oversight in the delivery of strategic advisory services related to public payor health strategy, particularly with regard to value-based payment reform initiatives including MACRA/MIPS, shared savings, bundled payments and other alternative payment models (APMs). She also advises on clinically integrated network (CIN)/Accountable Care Organization (ACO) development and value-based benefit plan and product design, and supports policy development and advocacy at local, state and national levels.

As Vice President for Solutions and Services, John Supra oversees the organization’s technical operations and leads the information technology, data analytics, performance improvement, product management, business development and marketing efforts for CCI. Using his background in process improvement, software development and health payor operations, Supra drives innovations that help healthcare systems focus on population health and develop their health informatics capacity.
Kathryn Gailey

General Counsel
As General Counsel, Kathryn Gailey provides senior management with advice on company strategies and their implementation, manages the legal functions for CCI and obtains and oversees the work of outside counsel. She is directly involved in business transactions and negotiating critical contracts. Additionally, she oversees all aspects of compliance for CCI with the help of her team. Previously, Gailey practiced law in South Carolina and provided guidance on compliance and regulatory affairs in her roles with health insurance carriers.
Mark Wess, MD, MSc
VP and Chief Health Information Officer, SC Health Company
Dr. Mark Wess currently serves as Vice President and Chief Health Information Officer for the SC Health Company. In his role as the leading IT physician executive for SC Health Company, Dr. Wess will provide the vision and strategy for the advancement of technology combined with processes to provide high-quality, cost-effective care. In this role, he also serves as a liaison between CCI and the SC Health Company in regards to these areas.

As Director of Care Partnerships, Kiersten Carroll is responsible for facilitating, developing and overseeing client engagements for CCI. She assists with the coordination of all organized activities between CCI and the systems and CINs it serves, and supports clients in navigating value-based care and population health initiatives, collaboratively.

As Executive Projects Director, Tierney Gallagher is responsible for strategy formulation and management of activities related to executive projects. She works with CCI leadership, specifically assisting CCI President & CEO Dr. Angelo Sinopoli, in enabling healthcare providers in advancing clinical care delivery, clinical integration and population health.
